White House Down was exactly what I expected it to be. Action, explotions, disaster, a hero that saves the president (and the world). The story and the plot were both ordinary, it was easy to predict what was coming. A hero is a police John Cale (Channing Tatum) who ends up being the only hope of the president James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Big guns and the muscles of Cale save the day.
The most interesting character in this movie is Emily (Joey King), the daughter of John Cale. She is a brave young girl and uses modern tehcnology to reveal the criminals to the whole world by downloading videos into her YouTube-channel.
White House Down didn’t give any unique experiences or show any astonishing acting. It was what it was, plain action. A good movie to see on a friday night, after working hard the whole week. Reset your brain and watch, that’s it.
